Motorola MCR25 series thyristors are high-voltage, high-current, half-wave silicon gate–controlled thyristors designed primarily for motor control, heating control, and power supply applications. The MCR25 series is available in three voltage ratings: 400 V, 600 V, and 800 V. The on-state current rating is 25 A RMS, and the peak surge current rating is 300 A. The MCR25 series is available in a TO-220AB package.
