This document describes the Medical Response and Surge Exercise (MRSE), which is a national exercise that trains public health and healthcare professionals to respond to a large-scale public health emergency. The MRSE was created by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR).
